For those of you who've asked about why the Borough doesn't recyle plastics, please note that at the Borough Council meeting last night an Ad Hoc Committee was established to look into this and other recycling issues. Councilman Tom Newcomer will be heading the Committeee. I suggest you contact him if you are interested in their activities.

Today I was at the Chambersburg Recreation center talking with Herbert Dolaway about the future possibility of hosting an annual summer music festival at the Chambersburg municipal park that would be free and a community event. He told me about how you had made a comment about the band shell and concerts. I think this would be a most amazing thing for our community of chambersburg to have. It would create an atmosphere of artistic creativity in music and other forms of creativity.
I am very excited to work toward this goal.

Some coworkers and I want to start a flag football league. I sent an email through the Memorial Park page a month ago or so, and never received a response. Would this be possible for us to organize a league using the park as the place to play? And if so, who should I contact? We already have at least one sponsor, and have a few different ideas on how we could organize it, if we can use the park.
